Because I have received so much help from the testimonies in the periodicals I wish to add mine in the hope that it will help someone. I am deeply grateful for this wonderful truth revealed by our Leader and left as a rich legacy for us all.

Christian Science has met our every need for the past fifteen years. I came to it because I had heard that Christian Scientists were happy, and I too wanted to be happy. I did not know it healed the sick, but I had always wondered why God did not heal my sickness when I believed that "with God all things are possible." So, when I discovered, through reading the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, that "there is a law of God applicable to healing, and it is a spiritual law instead of material" (p. 463), my thought opened up immediately to that truth.

My first healing was of an abscess. I had been operated on for two abscesses previously, and this was the third in the same place. I threw all my medicine and medicated gauze away and telephoned the doctor that I would not need a third operation; and I did not, for my healing was instantaneous and there has been no return of that difficulty.
