Meadville, Pennsylvania (First Church).—Completely renovated both inside and out, and enlarged to almost twice its original size, the old law office on Chestnut Street, just above Liberty, has been opened as the new place of worship for First Church of Christ, Scientist. The old colonial structure, one of the oldest standing buildings in Meadville, has been transformed into a small but beautiful and most impressive place of worship. The colonial lines have been maintained throughout the entire reconstruction work with the most pleasing results. The auditorium, which will seat in the pews one hundred and seventy-five persons, is entirely white, with all the woodwork Philippine mahogany. Two wings have been built on the rear of the building, the one on the right for the Readers at the Christian Science services and the other for a public Reading Room.
