I desire to express my deep gratitude for the many blessings which I have received from Christian Science. We have had many beautiful healings in our home, such as of whooping cough, measles, chicken pox, tonsillitis, and acute appendicitis. But the one that stands out to me most is that of our nine-year-old son, who was shot in the eye, directly on the pupil, with a bean shooter.

A Christian Science practitioner was called at once over long distance telephone, and help was given. The pain was relieved very soon, but the condition of the eyeball grew worse until the pupil could not be discerned. Fear almost overwhelmed me for a time, but after being reassured by the loving practitioner that the spiritual faculty of sight could not be lost or dimmed I was able, with her help, to rise above the seeming into the realm of the real; and although the child could not discern more than light or shadow for eight days, we clung steadfastly to God and His omnipotence. On the eighth day the healing took place and the sight was perfect. The eyeball had not cleared up entirely, but he could see perfectly. It is needless to say this healing brought great joy to our home and a deeper realization of God's protecting care over His children.

I am grateful to God for the many blessings that have come to me and mine, and so grateful to the loving practitioners. I am sincerely grateful to Mrs. Eddy for emphasizing to the world that God is the same yesterday, to-day, and forever.—(Mrs.) Altha Orr, Gibson City, Illinois.
