In the Bible we read that Jesus sent his twelve disciples...
In the Bible we read that Jesus sent his twelve disciples to heal the sick and sinning, and said, "Freely ye have received, freely give." I have received so many blessings through Christian Science that it is my desire to share my experience with others.
I have been healed of tonsillitis in a severe form, a sprained and swollen ankle, colds, and nervous prostration. My daughter, when nine years old, lost control of her legs and arms and had to be fed by hand. The doctor claimed she had heart trouble, was in very nervous state, and should have her tonsils removed. Physicians tried for three years to help her. X-ray treatments were given and she was put to bed for three months, but she did not improve. A Christian Science practitioner was then called and said that God's child could not be kept in bondage, that by keeping her in bed we were depriving her of her birthright, her freedom, and that as a child of God she was perfect. Being obedient to God's law, and not to any material law, the child arose and walked: the truth had made her free. The complete healing was slow; but I am grateful, for it taught me a lesson in patience; and earnest study of the Bible and Mrs. Eddy's works has brought me closer to God.
If one is having a slow healing, he must not become discouraged, for through faithful adherence to Truth and the realization that all things are possible to God, healing must follow. I thank God for Christian Science, and am so grateful for all the literature. I pray daily to be able to give out more love to my fellow man.—(Mrs.) Cora Mendel, New York, New York.
