I can never cease to be grateful to God for leading me...

I can never cease to be grateful to God for leading me into Christian Science. Since the birth of our child I had not known what it was to be well, and was being treated by doctors for various ailments. I had an operation and was helped, but was left with other discordant conditions. I had known of this wonderful truth and believed in its healing power, but was afraid to change my religious belief. Finally, however, I decided that if it were right for me to take up Christian Science God would lead the way, and I prayed for guidance. My prayer was answered. It was not long before I lost faith in material methods of healing.

At this time I was led to a Christian Science practitioner, who lovingly helped me. Within a week I was able to sleep: previously I had not been sleeping more than an hour each night. At the same time I was healed of chronic constipation of twelve years' standing. I had been wearing a corset to support a fallen stomach. I never spoke of this to the practitioner, but when I knew that God was helping me I had no further need of this support. Constant colds were also overcome, although I had been told by a specialist that I never would be better until my nose was operated upon. All these conditions were healed in a short time and in an inharmonious atmosphere, as I was visiting in a home where all seemed antagonistic toward Christian Science.

My healing was wonderful, and all who knew me marveled at the transformation. I gained thirty pounds, and my face radiated happiness; whereas before, it had been careworn. I am so grateful for the better understanding of the Bible which I have gained through the daily study of the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly. My earnest desire is to let my light shine, so that others may see the fruits of Christian Science.
