I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science
I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science. It has been my helper for over eighteen years, and has comforted me in many trials and sorrows. Through it I have found the God of love "a very present help in trouble."
From infancy I was constantly ill. As a little child I could never partake of pleasures as other children, and I was deprived of much education. I lost my mother when six years of age, and grief was constantly in my consciousness, so that my life was one of sadness. There was a belief of hereditary trouble, and at the age of twenty-three I was told that my days were few. When this sentence was passed upon me I told the doctor, a very good friend, that I would never die with that disease; and it left me.
Christian Science was brought to me many years later, when I had exhausted medicine and surgery. I had been under medical care for years, and had gone through three severe operations for a group of tumors. After years of suffering I was sent home to spend a limited time in a chair; but thanks to Christian Science I have since had eighteen years of real living and loving.
