It is a great privilege and joy to give testimony to my first healing in Christian Science. I was born with valvular heart disease, believed to be inherited from my father; and I was always considered a very delicate child. I grew to womanhood and married. Then there came a time when I had a very severe heart attack and was confined to my bed for eight months. During this time no one was allowed to enter the room but those who took care of me. We had the best physicians in the city, and everything was done for me that could be done materially by a loving husband and devoted parents; but complications set in and I continued to grow worse. At last the physicians said they had done all that could be done, and that I could not live.
I was a member of an orthodox church before Christian Science came to me, and I am thankful for the good received there; but it did not teach me that the Principle of man and the universe is infinite Life.
I had a friend who was a Christian Scientist. She obtained permission to visit me, and came with the sweet message of Christian Science. She said, "Dear, Truth will heal you if you will accept it."
