Gratitude for many healings in Christian Science compels me to send this testimony. Over a period of nine years I have received so many benefits that I know not where to begin to recount them. My first healing was of intestinal trouble, for which I had doctored long, but received only temporary relief. When I turned to a loving Christian Science practitioner for help this difficulty was overcome slowly, but thoroughly. I have always been grateful for this slow healing, as it kept me striving for the truth.

From the day that I first opened the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, I have never been tempted to go back to medicine. Later, two severe attacks of influenza were overcome in a few days. A case of poisoning was quickly met with the statement, "A spiritual idea has not a single element of error, and this truth removes properly whatever is offensive" (Science and Health, p. 463). Jesus' words, "If they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them," also helped me.

The most marvelous healing I experienced was over two years ago, when, after an accident, I was removed to a hospital, and my case pronounced hopeless. The doctors found a number of fractures and other injuries. However, I regained consciousness long enough to ask for a Christian Science practitioner, who stood with me day and night for months. After five days of consecrated work by the practitioner, a surgeon set the fractured bones. Then came a prediction from the doctors that I would never walk. This condition also was overcome in due time, and I am walking to-day and attending to my business.
