It is now over sixteen years since my first healing in Christian Science, and I have always been grateful that this demonstration so impressed me as a manifestation of God's presence and power that there has never since been the least desire for any material remedy.

At the time of my first attendance at a regular Communion service in a Christian Science church, I arose from my knees with such a sense of peace and well-being that I declared, "I want to become a member of this church." This desire was fulfilled the year following.

During the influenza epidemic of 1918 I was healed of an attack in forty-eight hours. There was a complete absence of fear, but I suddenly fell unconscious about midnight. This phase of the trouble was quickly overcome, and in the morning I was perfectly free and there was not the slightest after effect.
