The testimonies in The Christian Science Journal and...
The testimonies in The Christian Science Journal and Christian Science Sentinel have helped me in so many ways that I should like to help others by telling a few of my experiences.
Knowing that a cousin had been helped through Christian Science treatment, my husband first called a practitioner after trying a number of material remedies, when bronchitis was making it difficult for me to breathe. The relief was almost instantaneous. Our three babies were all born under Christian Science treatment, under very harmonious conditions; and the problems that arise in a home where there are children are so quickly overcome that I wonder sometimes how other mothers solve these same problems without Christian Science help. Measles and chicken pox have yielded quickly to the truth, whooping cough, pneumonia, and influenza slowly; but I have been thankful later for the slower healings, because I have studied Mrs. Eddy's teachings more deeply and have since been able to demonstrate over inharmonious conditions myself, without always calling a practitioner.
Through my understanding of Christian Science, my husband was healed overnight when he was nearly blind from an acid explosion, and later he was healed of blood poisoning in a few hours. At the passing on of my husband's father, who was as dear to me as my own father, there was no sense of loss or separation.
