After suffering for many years with what was called rheumatism in many forms, such as swelling of the fingers and feet and intense pains in the body, I tried Christian Science and was healed in a very short time. I was told to get an understanding of God and of my relation to Him. My work at the time meant standing all day, and after starting treatment I was able to work every day.

The passage beginning, "When the illusion of sickness or sin tempts you, cling steadfastly to God and His idea," on page 495 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, was and is a great help to me. It is over twelve years since I was healed, and I am now able to wear any kind of shoes. The doctors had told me I would always have to wear high shoes with arch supports, as the rheumatism had broken my arch. In the time that I have studied Christian Science all the ills that have presented themselves to me have been met and overcome with the help of Science and Health and a loving practitioner.

My gratitude for Mrs. Eddy and her consecrated work is unbounded. Words cannot express my gratitude to all those who have helped me on the way from sense to Soul.
