Signs of the Times

[Rev. Phillips Osgood, D. D., as quoted in the Boston Evening Transcript, Massachusetts]

Life is essentially spiritual vitality. Life more abundant is already victory over death. We are bidden to be alive unto God. The gift of God's life in Christ assures to the Christian no mere survival of physical death, but even more nobly He makes us alive with a spiritual vitality which is free from all the vicissitudes of the body and of sin, and which has the quality of timelessness. If alive in the spirit of God, we are already the children of the resurrection. What a birthright we have—life and more life, and ever more life, less death and less unto the death of death. God's aliveness is ours for the asking.
