Any endeavor on the part of the churches to reinstate physical healing as an inherent part of religion is of deep interest to Christian Scientists, recognizing, as they do, that to obey strictly and effectually the commands of Christ Jesus, religion must include not only the destruction of sin, but also the healing of sickness and all limitation. Such healing, however, to pattern the method practiced by the Master, must be accomplished exclusively by spiritual means.

Christian Science is not rightly classified with new-thought and faith cure. In the practice of its teachings no human will-power is exercised, but complete reliance is placed in God, the divine Mind, the source and motive power of all true thought and action. This Science is entirely Christian in its origin, purpose, and practice, being founded squarely on the inspired Word of the Bible. It is preeminently scientific, making available to mankind in the present the spiritual law of God which operates continuously to heal and redeem. Therefore, Christian Science occupies no realm apart from Christ's Christianity.

The endeavor to adopt healing as part of the religious functions by the orthodox Christian churches is not entirely new. Under different names, faith-healing has waxed and waned among some of them, even during this decade. However, persistence in this righteous pursuit may at no far distant date lead all Christian churches to discern that method which truly reveals Christ's healing power.
