Revelation
Christian Science, given to the world by our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, is the great and final revelation of divine Love, and of Love's expression, man and the universe. Christian Science reveals the fact that God is Mind; and no one can have a higher concept of God than as divine Love, or Mind. Throughout eternity, the all-inclusiveness of Mind will continue to unfold through man, God's idea. Christian Science also reveals God as divine Principle. Principle is ultimate, primordial, original, final. Principle will always continue, controlling, guiding, upholding, sustaining the universe, in accordance with the immutable law of divine harmony.
That God is Love is an absolute statement. Always and forever man shall continue to live and move in divine Love. Love may be said to be the highest term for Deity, and it indicates the infinite tenderness, compassion, and grace of the divine nature. The more we learn about Love, the better do we grasp the fullness of God and His infinite expression, spiritual man. Moreover, "God is Spirit," as Jesus declared. This being true, the real universe must be a spiritual universe, and man must also be spiritual. No unfolding spiritual vision can ever reveal any concept of God beyond infinite Spirit.
The nature of man as the son of God is fully revealed in Christian Science. Man is the likeness of God, the complete reflection of the eternal One. This fact is final; there cannot possibly be a future revelation that will exalt man to higher estate than the perfect reflection of God. That man can advance beyond his spiritual status as the son of God is inconceivable to any clear-minded student of Christian Science, the Science of Mind.
