I did not take up the study of Christian Science for physical healing, although in great need thereof. I was seeking a better understanding of God and being, and through the reading and study of our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, a better understanding was gained, health and happiness were manifested, and it was proved to me that Christian Science is indeed the truth.

Many problems have been solved through the study of the Bible and Mrs. Eddy's writings. After a few weeks' study of Science and Health I was able to understand that as God is my creator, and is perfect, there could be no need of wearing glasses, as I had done for a number of years. They were laid away, and never since has there been any need for them. Rheumatism, stomach trouble, depression, worry, and irritation were healed gradually, as I sincerely read and studied the Bible and our Leader's writings. According to the faithfulness and sincerity of the study and application of the truth was harmony manifested.
