Giving

God is the Giver of all good. God, divine Mind, is forever giving to man, and this giving expresses eternal activity. Our loving, ever giving God is the sole creator of man and the universe. Without God, man could not exist. God is infinite, all-inclusive Mind; and His ideas are the product of Mind. Reflecting the Mind that forms them, these ideas are perfect, complete, and ever present.

If we would see the right ideas of the eternal Giver, and express life more abundantly, we must be pure in heart. We must be willing to let go of false, and therefore impure, concepts of being which becloud the clear realization of ever present right ideas; for then can we express these ideas which bring blessings into our experience.

When confined to her bed as a result of an injury pronounced by her physician to be fatal, Mrs. Eddy called for her Bible. While reading the ninth chapter of Matthew, she received a revelation of the truth sufficient to bring about her immediate healing. Had she lightly regarded this unfoldment of Truth, and not used it, she would not have been lifted out of her illness. But our Leader did not stop with her own healing. Continuing to follow the glimpse of the truth she had obtained, she began her search for more of the healing light. And as she received more, she gave it to those who would accept it. Thus the seed within itself unfolds as the gift of God, infinite good.
