After many years of suffering, although under the constant care of the best specialists and surgeons on the Pacific Coast, and with much hospital experience, involving operations, there came a time when a deep prejudice against what I thought Christian Science to be had to yield. After calling for help from a practitioner one hundred miles distant, in less than two weeks I experienced the replacing of a misplaced organ, the healing of insomnia of several years' standing, and the obliteration of bitter prejudice against Christian Science and its Discoverer and Founder, Mary Baker Eddy, for whom, to-day, I express the deepest gratitude, and of whom I would speak with the reverent love which every honest student of Christian Science feels, recognizing her priceless contribution to the spiritual welfare of the world.

The permanent healings referred to above took place seventeen years ago, and the change they brought about in my mental viewpoint and in my great desire to understand more of the truth, has been a constant spur to activity toward that end; and it is always true that good is brought into my experience proportionably to its occupancy of my thoughts (see Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mrs. Eddy, p. 261).
