Christian Science has come to my aid in so many ways that I cannot enumerate them all. For the last eight years it has been my only medicine. When it was first brought to my notice by a medically trained nurse who was looking after me, and who saw that the doctor's treatment was doing me no good, I was in a state of nervous prostration and overwhelmed by fear. This nurse said, "It is Christian Science you want; will you try it?" and I said, "I will try anything that can help me." Then work was begun in Christian Science, and through the wonderful help and unceasing patience of a practitioner I was healed.

Just about a year after I first learned of Christian Science, my husband became seriously ill with malaria, and when he grew rapidly worse and then lost consciousness, the nurse who was helping to take care of him said that I must call in a doctor. This I did, but only to have his diagnosis. He pronounced the illness to be malarial coma, and said the patient was at death's door; also, that he must be immediately removed to a hospital and have a strong injection. To neither of these propositions could I consent, as I had entirely lost faith in drugs and medical methods of healing.

I have been so thankful that through the help of Christian Science I was able to stand firm in that hour of trial. I must mention that when this occurred we were living away up country abroad, three days' journey from the practitioner; yet when I wired him how serious the case was he left his office at an hour's notice and took the long trip. I shall never forget the wonderful work done in this case. On the practitioner's arrival at our home my husband just recognized him, and then lapsed into unconsciousness again; but work was continued in Christian Science, and before the practitioner left again at the end of the week my husband was up and sitting on the stoop. I was wonderfully helped and uplifted during this week of trial, and received a clear realization of man's at-one-ment with divine Love, an experience which proved to me the absolute truth of Christian Science.
