Early in 1901 I was suffering from consumption, dyspepsia, nervousness, malarial fever, and two internal troubles for which a surgeon advised an operation. When I asked if I would be healed by it he said only temporary relief was possible. I then decided to stay as I was, for I had a horror of the knife. Christian Science was then presented to me by a friend; a practitioner was secured; and in about a week I was healed. The uplifting I had cannot be expressed in words. I threw away my drugs, and decided to start anew by a better way. Some time after this I was told by a relative that the doctor had said I could not live two months longer. I am healthier and happier than ever, and have not been in bed a day on account of sickness since that time.
In the years that have followed I have had troubles, but with my own understanding of God or with the aid of a practitioner I have been quickly healed. Needless to say, I am truly grateful.—(Mrs.) Beulah Atkinson Farrar, Norfolk, Virginia.
