With deep gratitude for the healing which Christian Science has brought into our home, after materia medica had failed, I am sending this testimony so that others may be encouraged when the way seems dark.

Some time ago my son came home from school walking very lame and said his leg pained him so much that he would be unable to go back to school as he could not walk. Upon examination I found a growth, which was red and badly inflamed. Fear overcame me and I called the nearest doctor. When he saw the condition he said he was afraid he had come too late, but he would do what he could. My son kept growing worse, was in extreme pain, and finally began to have black spots on his face. I saw that something more must be done quickly; so I cast aside all thought of going farther with medical help, feeling that I must trust in something higher. I had been somewhat interested in Christian Science, and in my extremity word was sent to a practitioner stating the case. Almost immediately the boy received help, and got up and played, after sitting in a rocking chair unable to move for eight days. Later, he was completely healed under Christian Science treatment.

I am very thankful for this healing, and grateful to God; and also to Mrs. Eddy, and the practitioner who brought this healing to our home.
