[Written for the Sentinel]

Little Things

Father , it is a little thing to thank Thee
For each good gift that cometh from above,
Yet, do we not at times receive, unmindful,
The wondrous blessings of Thy perfect love?

Father, it is a little thing, rejoicing
That Thou art ever cherishing Thine own,
Yet, do we not at times forget our gladness
In fearing that we tread our paths alone?

Father, may all Thy children join together
In singing joyous psalms of praise to Thee!
Such little things, and yet, through them we enter
Thy kingdom of eternal harmony.
