I was healed of pneumonia and hemorrhage of the lungs...

I was healed of pneumonia and hemorrhage of the lungs in five weeks with the help of a loving Christian Science practitioner, and at the end of eight weeks was back at work. During this illness, when all was dark, I seemed to be alone— and yet not alone, for God was with me; I felt I could only hold out a few hours. My wife put me in God's care and was able to say, "Not my will, but thine, be done." When supply seemed to have run out I said, in the words of the spiritual interpretation of a part of the Lord's Prayer, as given on pages 16 and 17of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy: "Enable us to know,—as in heaven, so on earth,—God is omnipotent, supreme.... Give us grace for to-day; feed the famished affections." All my needs were met abundantly. I was asked at the end of eleven weeks if I would see another doctor. This I did, and he said my lungs and heart were quite sound. This was a great and wonderful proof of what Christian Science can do.

We have had many healings in our home, and we humbly thank God that we were brought to Christian Science to gain an understanding of Him.
