A sermon on Christian Science, as reported in your issue...

A sermon on Christian Science, as reported in your issue of April 22, gives a very wrong impression of Christian Science which I would appreciate the privilege of correcting.

It is apparent that the reverend critic has been misinformed in regard to the teachings of Christian Science. His references to Mrs. Eddy and Christian Science are easily traceable to the criticisms of prejudiced writers which have repeatedly been proved untrue.

In speaking of Mrs. Eddy's youth, he refers to violent "hysterical attacks" on her part, even hinting at "suspended animation," et cetera. These accusations are frankly contrary to the facts, as would be plainly evident if our friendly critic should gather his information from original sources. There are no authentic documents or historical data to verify such accusations.
