Holyoke Transcript-Telegram

The printing of this letter is requested because of what you have printed about biographies of Mary Baker Eddy.

Besides her autobiography entitled "Retrospection and Introspection," three biographies of Mrs. Eddy have been published. Named in the order of time, their authors are Georgine Milmine, Sibyl Wilbur, and Edwin Franden Dakin. A biography by Fleta Campbell Springer has been announced for publication soon.

Besides these biographies of Mrs. Eddy, there are a number of biographical sketches, some of which are more informative and important than some of the biographies. Among the best of the biographical sketches are the following by authors who are not Christian Scientists: a small volume by Arthur Brisbane, published in 1908 and entitled "Mary Baker G. Eddy;" a chapter on Mrs. Eddy in a book by B. O. Flower, published in 1914 and entitled "Progressive Men, Women, and Movements of the Past Twenty-Five Years;" a chapter on Mrs. Eddy in a book by Charles Francis Potter, published in 1929 and entitled "The Story of Religion as Told in the Lives of Its Leaders."
