In the autumn of 1925 fear of man-made laws led me to seek refuge with God by asking a Christian Scientist early one morning for help to overcome diphtheria. As a result of seeking communion with God, my need was met, and I was instantly healed. This healing humbled me because I had been rebellious toward what I supposed was Christian Science. By noon of that day I had purchased "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, which with my Bible has since been my "daily bread."

Jesus' admonition to seek first "the kingdom of God, and his righteousness" results in unlimited good to all who obey it. I am deeply grateful for Christ Jesus, our Way-shower; for Mrs. Eddy, who revealed to us the Comforter; for membership in The Mother Church, and a branch Church of Christ, Scientist; for class instruction from a faithful and loyal teacher; and for the privilege of sharing my blessings.
