"Now are we the sons of God"
AMONG the many statements of spiritual truth found in our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, all of which are susceptible of proof, there is none of greater import than "the scientific statement of being," on page 468, which reads in part, "All is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation, for God is All-in-all." This one statement of the truth of being, when understood and scientifically applied, will heal the whole world of its belief in sin, sickness, and death; for to realize that God with His manifestation is the sum total of being would mean the elimination of all false mortal claims, and there would be nothing left to sin, to become sick, or to die.
All through the textbook, and in the other writings of Mrs. Eddy, emphasis is placed on the spiritual fact that we are, here and now, perfect children of God. Speaking from the standpoint of spiritual man, our Leader writes in "The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany" (p. 242), "Unless you fully perceive that you are the child of God, hence perfect, you have no Principle to demonstrate and no rule for its demonstration." This gives us a firm basis from which to proceed in our work of solving the problem of being, and rising above ignorance and false education.
The manifestation of God must of necessity be complete at all times, for were it not so there would be a time when God would not be completely expressed. The complete and constant manifestation is God's idea, man, including the universe. Therefore man, expressing all the qualities of God, is never less than the full expression of perfect, eternal Being.
