Before my marriage I received a hospital training that consisted of six years' experience. After several years I found myself growing more and more depressed and irritable. My little girl, then four years of age, was the means of bringing Christian Science to me. We had just taken up a new residence in a location where a Christian Science practitioner was a close neighbor. Her happy disposition attracted my attention, and through her great love for my little girl I soon found a way to start a conversation with her. A copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy was placed in my hands by her, and the beginning of a new day dawned for me. While reading that wonderful book, I was completely healed of a discordant mental condition, and the spiritual uplift received impelled me to learn more about this truth, so I soon became an earnest student of its teachings.

Being a Jewess I had to learn that the Christ, as taught by Mrs. Eddy, was and is an impersonal Saviour. The joy of this unfoldment is too deep for words, and the healing of my old concept was gradually effected when witnessing the many healings demonstrated through the Christ-power in our home. The first beautiful awakening was at the birth of my boy, eleven years ago, which was very harmonious. We have had healings of many ills, among which were convulsions, infections in severe forms, coughs, colds, fevers, broken bones, and smallpox. My husband laid aside a truss that he had worn since childhood, and he was also healed of the smoking habit of long years' standing.

It is now over thirteen years since this glorious truth entered our home. As Mrs. Eddy says (Science and Health, p. 167), "Only through radical reliance on Truth can scientific healing power be realized." I am grateful for membership in a branch church and in The Mother Church, and for all that the Christian Science organization is doing for mankind.—(Mrs.) Miriam Gottlieb, Santa Monica, California.
