Like the song of those who "had gotten the victory over...
Like the song of those who "had gotten the victory over the beast," as heard by the Revelator, "Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty," is the song of those who are finding health, hope, and happiness through Christian Science. All over the world, through every hour of the day, this song of gratitude and praise is ascending. It is with the sincere desire to add my voice to the thousands that are thus praising God that I gladly give testimony of the healing power of Christian Science.
For something over twenty years I have received help through Christian Science, but it is only since 1917 that I have devoted serious thought and study to its teachings. In my childhood home Christian Science was our only physician. It helped me to solve many financial problems during the years I was struggling to get an education. Later, when teaching, many inharmonious conditions were also overcome. Since my marriage I have striven most earnestly to grow in understanding and demonstration. A condition of internal displacement was healed at a lecture on Christian Science. I was most joyous, indeed, because of this healing, as it was the first instantaneous one I had experienced. The birth and infancy of our second child, a little boy, was made most harmonious through the loving aid of a Christian Science practitioner.
To enumerate all the healings and blessings I have experienced through the working of Truth would necessitate the writing of a book. I am very grateful for every one of them; but I am most grateful for the increased understanding which followed correct class instruction from a loyal teacher. I am truly grateful for every activity of the Christian Science movement, for membership in The Mother Church, and in a branch church, and for the privilege of serving our Cause, even in a very small way. My gratitude to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, is unbounded for having overcome the world to such an extent that she could reveal to us the Comforter promised by Christ Jesus, and for having persevered until the Christian Science movement was firmly grounded and established.
