Norfolk, Virginia (First Church).—Purchase of a new site at Maury Place and Manteo Street and preliminary plans for erection of a church and Sunday school building by First Church of Christ, Scientist, were announced yesterday through the board of trustees for the congregation. The church has been outgrowing its present quarters at 207 West Freemason Street for some time, while the Sunday school building has become congested for lack of adequate space. The new edifice will be erected in one of the most beautiful residential sections of the city. The property is located on the northeast corner of Maury Place and Manteo Street, with a one hundred and eleven-foot frontage on Maury Place and a depth of one hundred and two feet on Manteo Street.—Virginian Pilot.
