For so many years I have been encouraged by the testimonies in the Sentinel that I now feel I must give mine with the earnest desire of helping others. Christian Science was not presented to me at a time of physical need, but during a period of much anxiety and worry, when the teachings of my own church failed to give me any comfort. For some time I did not understand the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, but I seemed impelled to study it owing to the fact that one dear to me in my home was deriving so much benefit from its teachings.

Then came my own testing time; for I awoke one morning covered with a rash and feeling very ill. With a certain amount of doubt and misgiving I asked a practitioner kindly to help me, and in twenty-four hours I was entirely healed and able to go out. This healing convinced me that Christian Science is all it claims to be; for I had never before felt so well, and I clearly saw that the process was entirely mental. This happened over ten years ago, and although the way has often been very dark, I have always found, when I earnestly sought God and not ease in matter, that His promises are as true now as in Jesus' time.

I have been healed of neuritis, a badly sprained ankle, a severe attack of nerves, and many of the other ills that "flesh is heir to." These healings have nearly all been instantaneous. At the time of the passing on of my mother, I was healed of all sense of sorrow and separation after studying Chapter IV in our textbook.
