[Original testimony in French]

There are no words adequate to express what Christian Science...

There are no words adequate to express what Christian Science means to me. The first time I heard it spoken of, I was merely told that evil did not exist; and at that moment it seemed to be very real in various ways around me. To-day I know that evil is unreal. I have gained, thanks to God, this understanding through the wonderful teaching, emphasized by our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, that God is Love.

I may say that I attended my first Wednesday evening testimony meeting out of mere curiosity, having heard that these meetings had been established to make Christian Science known. I learned that I had work to do; and mortal mind suggested that I would not have the time, and that Christian Science was very difficult to understand. Many weeks later I was guided by divine Love in going to a Sunday service. Words are powerless to express the light which "the scientific statement of being" (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy, p. 468) and the correlative Scripture from I John 3:1–3 brought me. Almost at once I was healed of a stomach trouble of several years' standing, and of very frequent headaches.

I have had a very rugged road to walk, but I know that it is not of God; that, on the contrary, God has sustained and helped me when I have remembered that He is our creator, and have leaned on Him.
