Eight years ago I thought I had sprained my wrist
Eight years ago I thought I had sprained my wrist. It kept growing worse, the wrist joint became enlarged, and in a month I could not use my arm. Then we realized that the trouble was rheumatism. About that time my throat became affected. Twice I thought I would pass on from strangulation; so we went to a doctor. He examined my throat and told my husband he could do nothing for me, as I had tuberculosis of the throat. We came home, and my husband asked for and received leave of absence. We then went to the nearest city to have Christian Science treatment. We were there eight days, and I came home healed of both diseases. I am so grateful when I realize I am making some progress in this wonderful truth.
My husband has been healed of stomach trouble and ptomaine poisoning. About three years ago he was overcome by heat and the fumes of gas; but divine Love was caring for him, and kept him from falling into a river. He fell off an inclosure for a water intake. It was nearly two hours before they found him, and about six hours before he began to regain consciousness. The company my husband works for requires a medical examination, but knowing our belief in Christian Science the doctor gave him no medicine. In two weeks the doctor dismissed him as well, with no after effects.
Words fail to express our gratitude to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, and to the loving practitioner who has worked for us so faithfully and lovingly. We are grateful to be able to have nearly all of Mrs. Eddy's books, and we take the Journal, Sentinel, Monitor, and Quarterly.
