[Written for the Sentinel]

No Night

Fear not, thou weary one, fear not!
There is no night with God.
No doubt, no darkness, pain or dread;
No spot from which His light has fled.

Fear not, thou troubled one, fear not!
There is no gloom in Love.
No sin, no sickness, hate or lies:
No shadow e'er doth cross His skies.

Fear not, thou anxious one, fear not!
There is no loss in Soul.
No lack, no sorrow, strain or stress;
His tender love doth watch—and bless!
