Alone with God

In human experience there comes a time when the joys of material sense fail to satisfy, and one becomes conscious of a desire to know something about God, to gain a higher, holier concept of God as Love.

Christian Science teaches us the truth about God, revealing the fact that there is but one divine Love: as the Apostle John declares, "God is love." This Love is infinite and ever present; and because man is God's image or reflection, he is never outside of divine Love. Think of the joy of awakening to the realization that God, divine Love, is ever present, always available, and ever willing to manifest Himself to the hungering hearts of men!

True prayer is spiritual, the desire for all that is good. In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" Mrs. Eddy says (p. 1), "No loss can occur from trusting God with our desires." Hungering and thirsting after righteousness, we shall be filled and satisfied, for divine Love feeds the hungry heart. Spiritual ideas come to us from God, and these ideas bring to light God's law of harmony.
