Having been told by several physicians that I should never be well, and that I was liable to drop dead at any time, anywhere, I began the study of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I appealed to the only practitioner I had ever heard of, and help was lovingly given; and while improvement was slow, it was certain. Shortly after beginning the study of Christian Science I had a misplacement of an organ, which kept me confined to my bed for a month. As I was unable to walk to the next room to the telephone, and as Christian Science was bitterly opposed in my home, I was placed under the care of a physician. The following spring I had a return of the same trouble, and was healed in Christian Science in a very short time. I was able to be up all the while, and the trouble has never returned. In our home there has been the healing of pneumonia, influenza, typhoid fever, acute indigestion, constipation, extreme nervousness, sick headaches, measles, whooping cough, and many other errors, through the treatment of Christian Science.

It had always been my desire to understand at least some of the Bible, and I am humbly grateful that Mrs. Eddy so lovingly prepared a "key" to the Scriptures. The words from Science and Health (p. 254), "Pilgrim on earth, thy home is heaven; stranger, thou art the guest of God," healed me of the fear of going about alone. I am very grateful to be a member of a branch Christian Science church.
