Christian Science has brought much joy, happiness, and love into my life, and is teaching me how to love my neighbor as myself, as Jesus tells us to do, and how to understand God as Mind, Life, Truth, and Love.

For many years before I began the study of Christian Science I suffered much discomfort and inharmony in the summer time from the heat, due to shortness of breath, hay fever, nervousness, and other discordant conditions, so that I had to go to the coast for the months of July and August.

About eight and a half years ago, while I was in California, after I had been studying Christian Science six or seven months, for business reasons it was necessary that I should go home to Texas the first of August. When I first learned that I should go home, I thought, Oh, I cannot stand the hot weather. Then the thought came to me that since God is Mind, as Christian Science teaches, I could not suffer from climatic conditions; and, as Mrs. Eddy tells us in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 166), "Matter has no sensation of its own." I came home the first of August, and was never uncomfortable, and suffered no inharmony from the heat. I have spent the summers since then at home, and have enjoyed them.
