An earnest study, begun about seven years ago, of...

An earnest study, begun about seven years ago, of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, subscriptions to the Journal, Sentinel, and Monitor, and study of the excellent articles in them contributed by many faithful Scientists, together with the testimonies, also the study of the Lesson-Sermons in the Quarterly, together with the Bible and all the works of Mary Baker Eddy, have given me far more than I ever expected. I had studied but a short time when glasses which I had worn for about twenty years were of no more use to me. Next followed a struggle to overcome periodic sick headaches, which I had been subject to since birth. These were entirely overcome, and I know now something of the truth which has made me free.

Many petty annoyances have vanished, such as the monotony of household tasks, suspicion, selfishness, impatience, narrowness of view, seeking for ulterior motives in acts of others, and many other things. In place of all this, I find that I have learned to know something of divine Love, and have found man in God's image. My daily living must testify to my gratitude for this wonderful unfolding of Truth. Words are inadequate to express it.
