Extracts from Reports of Christian Science Committees on Publication for the Year Ended September 30, 1926

French Switzerland.

Five erroneous accounts of Christian Science appeared in the newspapers this year. Letters in correction were written, two of which were published "in extenso." One editor informed the Committee on Publication that as he did not consider his correspondent's article wrong, it was not necessary for him to insert a correction in his paper. Later, a second article, equally erroneous, came out in the same paper; a second correction was sent to the editor, and this time was printed almost in full; since then these attacks have ceased in that paper. We are glad to state that one of the papers which had seemed to criticize Christian Science printed an article from The Christian Science Monitor, approving of it.

A clergyman of our town had a talk with his students on Christian Science. Some questions on this subject were asked by the students, and the clergyman asked the Committee on Publication to reply. It was a great privilege to be able thus to correct certain erroneous ideas on the subject and to point out to these young students the power of Truth to reveal the understanding of the Bible.
