A few years ago I was almost a mental, moral, and physical wreck, and was taking medicine every few hours. The doctor was very kind and did what he could, but gave me very little hope of being able to help me.

I had nearly given up reading by artificial light, as my eyesight was failing and I would not wear glasses. I told her I did not think I could see to read, but she urged me to try. At first I could hardly distinguish the words, but gradually as I read they became clearer; and I read many pages that night. Within a few days I threw away all my medicine, and have never taken any since.
