I am grateful for Christian Science and for what it has brought into my life. I did not take up the study for physical healing, but for a discordant and discouraged life. I thank God that Christian Science has shown me a better way. I have had many healings, for one of which I am especially grateful. A tooth was causing me pain, and the thought came to me to go to see a dentist. When I reached his office I called a Christian Science practitioner for help and told her where I was. She said, "Well, you know who is with you." I said, "Yes, God is with me." She told me to hold that thought and she would work for me. The dentist wanted to give me gas, but I told him I did not wish it. Then he wanted to put something in the tooth, but I said, "No, thank you; not anything." I kept knowing the truth all the time, that God was with me. When the dentist took the gold cap off, he told me the tooth was broken. He took both parts out, and I can truthfully say there was no pain whatever.

Oh, I am so grateful for this truth that has been my help in time of need; grateful to our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, who has shown us the way; and grateful to the practitioner who has helped me along that way. I only want to be worthy of the name "Christian Scientist."
