Christian Science has done and is doing so much for me...
Christian Science has done and is doing so much for me and for my family that I feel I must send my grateful thanks. It is just about five years since I first heard of Christian Science, when a neighbor lent me a copy of the Sentinel to read. It came when I needed it most. Life had become unbearable through ill health and poverty, and as I had a large family I felt I could stand no more. I bought the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and as I read it I knew it was the truth which I had been looking for all my life.
My children have been healed of ringworm, whooping cough, abscess, influenza, biliousness, chilblains, and a tubercular gland. I have been healed of kidney trouble of many years' standing, through reading and applying the truth as I understood it. This healing brought with it a great sense of joy and peace. I had suffered from heart trouble for some time, and one night I had a very severe attack; and although I knew that God was my Life, the pain continued for a day or two. I then spoke to a practitioner about it, and it just went gently away; and I have been well and strong ever since.
I am so grateful for this wonderful truth that is setting us free, and to know that God is our supply; also that my children are all accepting this teaching in the Sunday school and in the churches they visit in different places in the course of employment. I am grateful for the loving, patient practitioner who has helped and encouraged me in the further knowledge of this truth, and for the kindness which has been shown me in the church which I attend; also for the Journal, Sentinel, and Monitor, which are bringing me constant blessings. I never have been able to put into words my thoughts of Mrs. Eddy; but she has been my dear friend, who through her wonderful teaching of the Christ, Truth, has seemed to take my hand and gently lead me on and up to God. I have so much to be grateful for; my cup is full and running over, and I am just singing joyfully all the time.(Mrs.) Margaret Olsen, Liverpool, Lancashire, England.
