Our little boy, aged two years, complained of feeling ill. At first I took no notice, but when he developed a high fever, we called in a physician. He diagnosed the difficulty as a very serious case of double pneumonia. Every day when he came he would only shake his head without saying anything. The little one grew weaker and weaker, and our fear greater and greater. A woman who lived with me asked the physician what really was the matter with the child, and if nothing more could be done. He shrugged his shoulders and answered, "Hardly." The next day we thought the end had come. But God does not desert His own. In this great extremity my sister-in-law came to me and asked if I would not try Christian Science. I inquired what it was, for I had never heard of it, She told me she knew someone who could heal through Christian Science. We sent for a practitioner, and during the night the child recovered perceptibly and asked for something to eat. In a few days he sat at the table with us, and ran about with other children.
