It was at the point of extremity that I turned resolutely to Christian Science to relieve me of physical distress. I had been suffering from chronic bowel trouble and had tried allopathy and osteopathy, but was not healed; hence I listened with interest to a dear woman who wanted to bring relief to me through Christian Science.

I had previously moved to a strange city seeking employment. I had not a friend or a relative in this city to whom I might turn for assistance and relief, and was lonesome and discouraged. I ate practically nothing, and the things I desired most I was advised to leave entirely alone. So when this kind woman told me something about Christian Science, and made the statement that the healing would come through prayer to God and that God was the Healer, this sounded plausible to me and I decided to have treatment immediately. With the first treatment I was instantaneously healed.

Since that time I have experienced numerous physical, mental, and moral healings, and words are inadequate to express my appreciation and love for the comfort received from the study of Christian Science. I owe heartfelt thanks to the patient practitioners who have striven and labored in my behalf to heal me of educated beliefs of the flesh, which are untrue.
