Ten years ago I first began the study of Christian Science
Ten years ago I first began the study of Christian Science. I had never had a day of health in my life until I took up this study. I was then rapidly restored to health. Beautiful demonstrations of the ever-presence and helpfulness of divine Love immediately began to follow. I have been healed of a broken bone in my leg. The bone was never set humanly or even bandaged, and although it was a "bad splinter break," I walked on it fifteen minutes after the accident and used it constantly, walking comparatively long distances. I have been instantly healed of an acute attack of appendicitis, of blood poisoning in an advanced stage, and of many other troubles. But more frequently than I have been healed, by far, I have been protected.
I am so grateful that I have been privileged in a small way to help in spreading this truth. I am also deeply grateful for membership in The Mother Church, and for class instruction. But most of all, I believe, I prize the growing understanding of the truth as regards my fellow-men and the feeling of love and unity and compassion toward all men that year by year dawns more beautifully upon my consciousness. The purest, truest joy of all my life comes to me from this growing understanding.
Not only does Christian Science heal our diseases, overcome our sins, and eliminate errors of every sort, but it fills the place they once occupied in consciousness with a vision and a beauty and a love which bring peace and joy beyond mortal pen to describe! My great desire is that my life may express the gratitude I feel!—(Miss) Leota Edytha St. John, Newtonville, Massachusetts.
