A MECHANICAL
draftsman lays out the plan of a new machine according to mathematical law so precisely that its several parts fit and work together harmoniously.
ONE
of the false beliefs that would try to deceive is that man is out of his place or can be displaced, and that when he is so displaced, or misplaced, he is in need of another place.
AT
the present day, in these times of seeming financial stress and economic struggle, the question of supply presents itself to many as a very difficult one.
W. Truman Green, Committee on Publication for the State of Florida,
A recent issue of your paper contains an account of an attack on Mary Baker Eddy and Christian Science by a minister who states that he has "heard a few lectures on the subject and read a few more, and as a rule they say very little that could not be preached from any pulpit.
Edgar McLeod, Committee on Publication for Northern California,
In a recent issue of your paper a writer states, in substance, that the Christian Science theory is based on the assumption that "the Universal Mind is the cause of the creation of the Universe, and hence all things are the product of that mind;" also that it is an error to deny the existence of matter and to claim that everything is mind.
Philip King, Committee on Publication for the District of Columbia,
Permit me to answer some statements made in your recent issue in the "To-day" column, where the writer after stating that "mind has power over matter as Christian Scientists allege," goes on to urge that "mind over matter" be not pushed too far in cases of cancer, abscess, and broken bones, especially if there is a good doctor near.
Mrs. Emma Ljunglöf, Committee on Publication for Sweden,
Will you kindly allow me space in your paper for the correction of an erroneous and very misleading statement concerning Christian Science made by a medical doctor in his lecture on "Modern Mental Healing," delivered before the Christian Students' Association, which appeared in your recent issue.
WASH
thou my feet, dear Lord, for now it seems That every step with mire of discontent, Self-love, self-pity, and discouragement Drags heavily; but thou dost lead where streams Of cleansing waters flow that can remove All stain or trace of mire with purifying love.
CHRISTIAN SCIENTISTS

How
men reach out for satisfaction! How they strive and struggle, how they search and seek to find something that truly satisfies! The whole trend of earthly experience is supposed to be towards some goal or other which will supply a hoped-for good, which will afford the peace and comfort, the pleasure and happiness, that bring absolute content.
IF
men only knew what Christian Science has in store for those who understand its teachings, they would turn to it with a great sense of gladness in their hearts.

It is about fifteen years since I took up the study of Christian Science seriously, and during that time we have had many proofs in our home of the healing power of Truth, as taught in our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.
My wife and I had both become so discontented with the local Lutheran church that if it had not been so irksome to apply to the county court, we should have left the church long before we did.
Because the reading of testimonies in the periodicals has given me much cause for gratitude, I too wish to express in this way all praise to God, to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower, and to Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, for the many blessings this great truth has brought to the whole world and to me and mine.
I WILL
not doubt, though evil claims to slay me, Though enemies still hate and friends betray me; For in the darkest hour Love still surrounds me, And routs the error that no more confounds me.
