It is about fifteen years since I took up the study of Christian Science seriously, and during that time we have had many proofs in our home of the healing power of Truth, as taught in our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.

Recently I had a beautiful proof of the healing power of divine Principle. I had a severe attack of stomach trouble, so severe that I was unable to retain even a little water. I had asked help from a loving practitioner, but only at times felt better. I had been confined to my bed for several days, when I grew very much worse and passed into a comatose condition. My daughter says there was every evidence of my passing on. She called the practitioner again, stating the seriousness of my condition, and he immediately did his work as required by Christian Science. Then, recalling the statement of Mrs. Eddy in Science and Health (p. 393), "Rise in the strength of Spirit to resist all that is unlike good," she audibly declared the truth. The first words I heard were, "God sees you only perfect," and they stood out to me like a shining light. They came at first faintly; then they seemed to grow in consciousness. Finally, I fell asleep; and on the following day I was healed.

I can never sufficiently express my gratitude to God; to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower; to our beloved Leader; and to the faithful practitioners for our many healings. I am also very grateful for the many blessings we have received through the study of Science and Health; for a correct understanding of the Bible, of what God is, and of man's relation to God.
