It is with a heart filled with gratitude that I bear witness to the healing power of God as manifested to me through the study and application of Christian Science. A severe attack of scarlet fever in my babyhood left as its mark an abscessed condition in one of my ears. During childhood and in my later years this would many times cause great pain, so severe often as to be almost unbearable. No material remedy or treatment healed the difficulty, and the result was a chronic discharge which became very trying. Needless to say, while I did not take up the study of Christian Science solely for this healing, yet the healing came; and I am now free from all evidences of the disease.

I have been healed of stomach trouble, influenza, and many other physical disorders. I have been healed of grief over the seeming loss of a loved one, which at the time fairly overwhelmed me and carried me down to the depths of despair. When my consciousness, however, finally awoke to the fact that since God is Life, Life is eternal, and hence that there can be no death, the clouds lifted and my thought was filled with that calm, sweet peace which always accompanies the realization of the ever-presence and omnipotence of God, good.

My object in coming to Christian Science was to find relief from fear, doubt, worry, anxiety, to get a better understanding of God in order that I might be a better husband and father, and a more useful citizen; and I have not been disappointed, for Christian Science does bring to all who will consistently follow its teachings blessings without number.
