Letters from the Field

"The inclosed check is sent as an expression of gratitude and love for the happy experience I was privileged to enjoy during my two weeks' stay at the Christian Science sanatorium. Mrs. Eddy tells us on page 58 of 'Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures,' 'Home is the dearest spot on earth;' and surely this applies to the Christian Science sanatorium. I was greatly in need of mental and spiritual refreshment, and found there a wonderful opportunity to think quietly, rest, and study. Many new and beautiful visions of the Christ have since unfolded. They fill my consciousness with a sense of peace and joy, and I have returned to my work of demonstration with a sense of life and hope which has certainly made me more helpful to all with whom I come in contact.

"There is love and sweetness radiated constantly by all connected with the sanatorium; and the regular Sunday and Wednesday evening services, as well as the lectures given monthly, are doing a great healing work. One cannot help but feel that the spiritual activity of the Christ is going on in human consciousness, and doing its silent healing work there.

"My heart goes out with ever increasing gratitude to Mary Baker Eddy, whose pure, uplifted, childlike thought conceived the idea of this home; and to all who are unceasingly active in keeping up its high standard.
