It is with a sense of deep gratitude that I bear testimony to the healing and regenerating power of Christian Science, as taught and demonstrated through the daily study of the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. It is now about nine years since I became interested in this great study, and these years have been filled with a greater store of joy and freedom than I ever experienced before. Many of the old doubts and fears have been destroyed through the better understanding of our Father-Mother God and of man's relationship to Him. The spiritual understanding of John's declaration, "Now are we the sons of God," has lifted my thought many times from the mortal beliefs of allegiance to matter and material conditions, and has freed me from colds, influenza, pleurisy, indigestion, sore throat, and also of the tobacco habit.

I am very thankful for these manifestations of God's love and protection, but I am even more grateful for the better understanding I have gained, through the daily study of the Lesson-Sermon, of God and His perfect law, which maintains man in His own image and likeness.
