I wish to express my gratitude for the many blessings...

I wish to express my gratitude for the many blessings which I have received since taking up the study of Christian Science ten years ago. I had been weak ever since childhood and suffered from catarrh. As I grew older, I had stomach and lung trouble, and had reached such a condition of discouragement that I had given up all hope of ever having health.

One truth that I had learned in childhood and loved to meditate upon was, "All things work together for good to them that love God." Some one has said, "Man's extremity is God's opportunity;" and praise be to God, I have proved it, for I am a well woman. I am grateful for the healing, although it was not received until I was willing to humble myself and pray and strive daily to reflect God's love, to do unto others as I would have them do unto me, and to lay all human planning aside and earnestly pray, "Father, ... not my will, but thine, be done." I am very grateful for the spiritual uplift and the peace that come to us through knowing that God is ever ready and willing to provide for us in every way.

I am grateful for the authorized Christian Science literature, also for class instruction, and for the privilege of helping others. My deep desire is to present my body "a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God," which is my "reasonable service."
